If I make a will:-

· My property will be divided among my loved ones according to my wishes

· There will be certainty as to the distribution of property to the last item.

· Distribution of some of my property e.g. jewellery, can begin immediately upon my death hence the likelihood of damage to or theft of estate property is reduced.

· The welfare of my dependents will be guaranteed as provisions for schooling, medical expenses and day to day expenses can be administered through a trust fund set up by the will.

· Children under eighteen (18) (minors) can be provided for and suffering and delay are greatly reduced.

· I may express my affection towards someone or appreciation of a friend who has helped me during my life.

· I can express my wishes about my funeral, burial, cremation, etc.
