The key services are:

• providing information and advice to relatives, beneficiaries or representatives of deceased persons, principally in the case of intestacy.
  

• administering the estates by:
  

  • providing relief and on-going support to beneficiaries of those estates under the administration of the Administrator-General;
    

  • securing and managing the financial, business and real property assets of the estates; closing estates and distributing their assets;
    

  • providing public education about laws of succession and administration of estates.
